GRI produced a detailed conceptual Sludge Waste Thermal Treatment Plant (SWTTP) for Sellafield, detailing both the plant treatment lines and layout concepts. The plant been designed to readily treat Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) sludges and slurries, consisting primarily of Magnox sludges and sand-clino type wastes. The baseline SWTTP concept uses GRI's internal expertise and novel technological solutions to meet the specifications provided by Sellafield.
